Alternate Versions: The DVD contain the innovative culmination, specific contained by the school's sports centre dew pond. The producers and the come first settled to shoot a unequal ending because the original ending be terrifically different in its manner of funny haunch and horror and they brainwave it didn't bed in into the motion print., The trailer contains a scene of Mick and Pnub ascending a heavenly staircase wearing football equipment. This is a scene from the alternate ending included on the DVD., The trailer contains an alternate (and funnier) take of Mick explaining that the reason that he didn't head into heaven was that "it was too far.", The TV version seen on Sci-fi has alternate takes of scenes with profanity, instead of awkward overdubbing. Most notably the scene in Pnub's bedroom where "I hate that fuckin' show" is missing the f-word and "Jerking off in the milkshake maker" is changed to "Spitting in the milkshake maker", Besides the profanity noted above, all scenes of drug use have been taken out on TV too. This makes the ending very odd (Anton mysteriously has smoke in his mouth but we never see where it came from). Some blood/gore has been taken out, and some nudity has been taken out too.
CONT: When Anton pulls away after hitting Debi with the Ford, both hands can be seen on the steering wheel., CONT: Both hands are visible. After Curtis and Tiffany are found in the car, Anton places his right hand on Mick's shoulder, then his left hand as he's walking away., CONT: When Mick is feeding the "head" on the chair cheese balls, the number of cheese balls laying in front of the head changes every time the camera cuts back and forth., CONT: When Anton and his dog, Duke, are under the sheets, their heads are at about the same spot. But when it cuts just before Anton goes to get the phone, his dog's head is not under the covers., CONT: Before Anton screams that they're out of milk, his pipe on the bottle disappears and then reappears., CONT: The X-Marks on Debi's map changes over the shot., MISC: Anton disconnects the blue mouthpiece to his "asthma inhaler" and begins to light up, however the mouth piece is knocked out of his hand when Mick reaches through the ground and grabs Anton. When Anton stands up, the blue mouth piece is still attached., CREW: When Pnub is trying to run out of the door after Anton kills Mick, he opens the door for a second and a light stand is visible., FAKE: After slipping on the blood at the base of the stairs Anton's mother's knee pads can be seen as she gets up to run up stairs., CONT: When Anton microwaves the hand and blood spatters on the inside of the microwave, the position and pattern of the blood on the microwave window changes between shots., FAKE: When the camera shows a shot of the newspaper clipping pinned on the wall in Debbie's van, the heading and the first paragraph are about the murders in Bolen, while the rest of the text is about the Nixon Watergate Scandal., CONT: When Anton awakes in the beginning the mouthpiece is on his inhaler, when he goes downstairs to the kitchen it is missing, it then reappears when he uses it as a pipe., FAKE: Obvious use of a painted copper pipe elbow to replace the real plastic inhaler mouthpiece when Anton lights up his hash pipe., FACT: SPOILER: After Anton cut off his hand, Mick runs into the laundry room and grabs an iron. He then uses it to cauterize the wound but the iron was not plugged in to any outlet., FAKE: Molly ties Tonya's whip to the crossbeam to escape the ventilation duct, but when she climbs down it you can see that it?s a climbing rope.
Debi: My work here is done. Time for the ritualistic sex!, Debi: There is evil out there, and I'm gonna kick its ass!, Anton: Who's your daddy now, bitch, huh? Who's your fucking daddy now?, Mick: That is some one-hit shit., Pnub: As usual, marijuana saves an otherwise disastrous day., Anton: Hey, I didn't kill anyone on purpose, okay?::Mick: Yeah, well, we weren't in hell! I mean, there was this bright white light at the end of a long tunnel, right, and there was these chicks' voices, and that music...::Anton: Music?::Pnub: Yeah, kinda uncool music, like, Enya. And these chicks' voices, they were saying, "come to us, come towards the light".::Anton: So what happened?::Mick: We figured, fuck it, I mean, it was really far!, Mick: [to 911 operator] There is something wrong with my friend, I think he smoked some nutmeg or something., Anton: So, what are you guys doing here?::Pnub: We need a place to kick it. Don't be selfish, Anton! No one else's parents are dead!, Pnub: And if your mother had teeth, she wouldn't suck dick so well. What's your point?", Mick: I'm gonna go call 911. What's the number?, Anton: [singing] Devil girl, with nothin' to lose, she's got wind in her hair and gum on her sho-o-o-es!, Anton: We're gathered here today... um... because you're all dead., Mick: [holding an electric carving knife] Look at me! Look at me! I'm Leatherface!, [Anton is about to chop off his 'evil' right hand]::Mick: Wait a minute. If you chop off your right hand, how are you going to chop the other one off?::Anton: Oh no, man, the lefty's a keeper. I mean, I guess it wasn't idle enough.::Mick: Really?::Anton: Oh yeah, I mean, I hit the remote with it, light up with it, relieve a little tension. No, this is the answer., Anton: You lied to me!::Mick: You killed me, let's try to keep this thing in perspective here!, Anton: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today because you're all dead... and it's all my fault. Mom, Dad, you fed me, kept a roof over my head until I killed you. Which I guess doesn't make me a very good son. But, I'm gonna try to change. [hand twitches] Mick, Pnub I'll never forget all those times we sat around, watched TV and got really, really stoned. And all those other times we just... well I guess that's all we did. [picks flowers from garden and throws them over the 'graves'] Amen., Anton: What the fuck are you doing, man? Come on, that's my dad!::Pnub: CPR, man! I saw it on Baywatch, man!, Pnub: Maybe we should clean that up.::Mick: Yeah, and while we're at it, let's just clean the whole fuckin' house., Mick: Yeah, I was a little bitter about the getting killed by my best friend thing, but I've had time to get over it., Pnub: Why would we go to hell? We're not bad, we're not exactly good or anything, but at least we don't go around killing people!, Girl outside Burger Jungle: Like this one time they asked me to go on a double date, and I thought they were 'tards or something... [starts crying]... so I told them to go blow each other.::Randy: Wow! Did they?, Anton: [while attempting to cut his hand off] This is it, I know it.::Pnub: Those things won't even cut my bagel., Pnub: You scream like a girl., Anton: All I do is sit around all day, smoke pot, watch TV...::Mick: No, no! No Kevin Costner speech, let's just go!, Mick: Anton it's killing me to see me to see you this stressed out man. You cut off your hand in the interest of who knows how many others. So, what I want you to do is take a little Anton time. Okay just relax, kick back my man.::Anton: No, no, no, you know what? Not this time. Okay I'm through with that, I mean all I do is I sit around all day I veg out, I watch TV, I smoke pot ...::Mick: No, no, no, no Kevin Costner speeches okay? Let's just go., Pnub: Hey, don't forget my bong.::Mick: You did not make that bong.::Pnub: Yeah, I arc-welded it and shit.::Mick: You don't even take auto shop.::Pnub: Fuck you!, Pnub: This ain't Dominos you lazy bitch, come get it yourself!, Mick: It's Mighty Joe bong!, Pnub: Why don't you just go over there and tell her your name. Maybe she'll think you're... funny or something., Anton: Everybody go home, there's a psycho killer here! I cut off my hand, and now it's gonna kill you all!, Tanya: No, screw him! I mean, he'll be fine., [Molly's dress rips revealing her underwear]::Pnub: Bet she wins best costume., Mick: SWEET JESUS!::Pnub: Ok, that wasn't my fault, that thing should've come down a LOT slower!, Mick: Let's go walk through a nurse., Mick: Hey, you're right, Anton screams like a girl., [after the anticlimactic destruction of the hand]::Mick: That's it? That's it? No explosions, no hellfire, no - [screeches demonically] I mean, no, I'm glad everybody's all right, but... that was weak., Randy: Oh man, I cannot believe you cock-blocked me like that. I thought we were buds!, [after seeing the message on the ceiling]::Dad Tobias: It's just a prank [clicks off flashlight] Anton.::Mom Tobias: Anton? Our little scooter would never do something like that!::Dad Tobias: Quit calling him that baby name. Anton would not scoot his behind off the couch if the house was on fire!, Anton: [Hears moaning coming from Mick's grave] Mick?::Mick: Over here. Anton, help me. Come on, man, I can't breathe down here. Anton? Anton, can you hear me?::Anton: [Kneels and leans over Mick's grave] Mick?::Mick: Yeah man, it's Mick.::Anton: You're dead!::Mick: No I'm not! You conked me on the head pretty good. I must've been unconcious.::Anton: You think?::Mick: I know fucker, now dig me up!, Pnub: Don't you watch the news?::Anton: I hate that fucking show., Randy: Idle hands are the devil's playground., Pnub: Watch the head. It's on kinda loose.

CAMEO('The Offspring' (qv)) The band performing at the Halloween dance., While Anton is vomiting in the bushes when Pnub and Mick show up, Molly ('Jessica Alba' (qv)) can be seen far in the background, on her balcony, playing a bass guitar. This is a remnant from a deleted scene., Both Eldon Henson's and Seth Green's character names (Mick & Pnub) are based on the SNL skit where Eddie Murphy played an illiterate character named Buckwheat, who sang popular (at the time) songs in a way that he wasn't understood half the time. In one skit, he sings the song "Lookin' for Love" and sings "Wookin' pa nub in a da wong paces..." It can be heard on the commentary that both Mick's and Pnub's names are based on this skit. (If you say "Mick & Pnub" quickly it almost sounds exactly alike.), The dish soap that Anton (Devon Sawa) squirts into his mouth after attempting to smoke Nutmeg and Oregano is real dish soap. Sawa came up with the gag on the spot., Filmed in the same neighborhood as _Halloween (1978)_ (qv)., When Anton kills the two police officers, Pnub shouts out "Go, go Buffalo". This is a reference to a deleted scene in which Anton remembers the two police officers as "the head and ass of the school mascot, Go, go Buffalo", The trailer contains a scene of Mick and Pnub ascending a heavenly staircase wearing football equipment. This is a scene from the alternate ending included on the DVD., The voice that says "Murder in Bolan" on the newscast that Anton is watching is that of director 'Rodman Flender' (qv)., The film, in which the main character kills his parents and his two best friends (albeit not intentionally), was delayed in its release because of the Columbine massacre., CAMEO('Thomas DeLonge' (qv)) Drive-Thru employee wearing a sombrero who says "Alright!", Anton is watching _Night of the Living Dead (1968)_ (qv) on TV., Mick and Pnub are watching _Dawn of the Dead (1978)_ (qv) on TV., When Anton, stunned after killing his two friends, walks into a support beam in his house, the thudding noise his body makes was not digitally added in after production - this is 'Devon Sawa' (qv) actually walking into the solid-wood support beam. Often, when the cast would do a photo shoot or had to re-shoot a scene after this one, Devon would start off by walking into the support beam over and over again to the point that editors working below the stage started to wonder what the noise was., The shirt that Dexter Holland of The Offspring is wearing in the dance scene is AFI, a Californian punk band who started out in 1991., The United States DVD claims to include supplementary production notes, but there are none on the disc or printed inside the cover.

Seventeen year ancient slacker Anton Tobias wake up and about one Halloween morning to expose that both of his parents clench be turned into two headless Halloween decorations. After speaking to his reciprocally careless friends, Mick and Pnub, he discover that his exact paw have a blood-thirsty be concerned of its personal and be hell-bent by wreak havoc whether he like it or not., Anton would like very much to go about his daily routine of smoking weed, watching TV, and lusting after the girl across the street. The only thing stopping him is his demon-possessed right hand which seems determined to kill anyone it encounters. After dropping his parents and his best friends, the hand sets its sights on Molly, the punk rock girl of Anton's affection. Luckily for him, Pnub and Mick (his recently deceased buds) are back from below ground to help the problem get solved. Only they better get cracking because the hand is out for more than just a killing spree. If it gets its fingers on Molly before midnight on prom night, her soul is hell-bound.
